Moon Gaffney
For background in studying The Catholic Worker in the 1930s there is a novel which may be of interest. It is "Moon Gaffney" by Harry Sylvester. Its dedication reads "For John C. Cort and for Dorothy Day; for Philip Burnham and for Emerson Hynes: all good Catholic radicals." It was published in 1947 by Henry Holt and Company. Sylvester's papers are in the Georgetown Univ. library. RS
